Abstract

With current interface design and evaluation tools, it is tough to objectively estimate usability information. Technologies such as eye-tracking extend the approaches to obtain data on visual attention impartially. However, obtaining biometric information through eye-tracking does not necessarily indicate the quality and quantity of information obtained when evaluating an interface. Therefore, in this work, we establish a model to relate the abstractions of the visual attention processes that are deployed when using an interface and the interpretations of the quantitative values provided by the biometric data obtained by eye-tracking.
