Abstract

The advance of the earth observation satellites has been very useful for carrying out several important studies related to areas that relate global change, as they provide cartographic information of the planet and real-time data that helps visualization and monitoring of natural disasters. The Emergency Management Service (EMS) of the Copernicus Satellite is a clear example of Earth Observation Satellites offering timely and accurate geospatial services and information derived from the detection of satellite disasters and completed by available data sources, a clear example This is the Copernicus Sentinel-2 mission, which comprises of two polar orbit satellites placed in the sun's orbit with a 180 ° phase between them, this project aims to maintain a constant monitoring of surface changes Earth, as well as approaches such as emergency management, security and climate change. With the objective of knowing its operation, a simulation of an observation satellite was designed to provide coverage to Latin American countries trying to get closer to reality in case some kind of these satellites are implemented in a specific place in the southern zone of the American continent.
